Kaling welcomed her daughter Katherine on Dec. 15, 2017, and since then, we've gotten small glimpses at the cutie. Although Kaling has said that she never thought she'd have a baby before getting married, she said she "wouldn't change a thing" and that there's no "right time" to become a parent.
Since having Katherine — whose godfather is fellow "The Office" alum, B.J. Novak — Kaling has opened up about her favorite baby books, feeling "tethered" to the house during early motherhood, and the phenomenon that is loving her child so much that she just stares at photos of her on her phone when they're apart, among other relatable parenting things.
Although we don't get to see glimpses of Katherine — or "Kit," as Kaling sometimes calls her (so cute!) — often, we do love that the fashionable mama usually shows her girl off when they're having a mother-daughter matching moment!
On Katherine's third birthday, Kaling revealed another nickname for her girl on an adorable birthday sign. "My daughter turned 3 today. This took a really long time. Compliment me please," Kaling said of the board she's holding in the accompanying photo, which reads: "Happy birthday, Kittles. You are 3. We [heart] you. So does Peppa Pig, Daniel Tiger, Elmo, Umi Zoomi."
