Heather gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, with husband Tarek on Jan. 31, 2023. The couple shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post two days later with a photo of them holding their son. "Our baby boy is here 🤍 1.31.23," they captioned it. "Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy ❤️."
Since their son's arrival, Heather has been documenting her journey as a first-time mom on social media. "Soaking in all of the sweet and precious moments with our baby boy 🤍," Heather wrote in another Instagram post on Feb. 10. "Adjusting to newborn mommyhood and staying in our happy, private little bubble until we're ready to share him with the world. Writing down all the moments that I never want to forget in the first week and a half of being a mommy and focusing on being present. More to come 👼🏻🤍🤍."
The tiny tot's name was revealed in an interview with Us Weekly on Feb. 15: Tristan Jay El Moussa. Heather told the outlet, "Tarek was supposed to be named Tristan, and his parents ended up naming him Tarek. And then my dad's middle name is Jay. So it's four generations of the middle name Jay."
That same day, she opened up about the birth on Instagram, detailing the scary circumstances of Tristan's arrival. "Our baby boy came out healthy and beautiful, I was in a state of shock it was a surreal experience. I was emotional and drained & so in love already," she recounted.
