Judging by This Cast, All American Is About to Be Our Favorite CW Show

Coming to The CW this Fall, All American is bound to be one of those TV shows that tugs on your heart strings and makes you miss high school football. Inspired by the true-life story of professional football player Spencer Paysinger, this show tells the story of high school student Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) from Crenshaw High, who gets recruited to play at the prestigious Beverly High School in Beverly Hills. With the clash of the two worlds and some football players not open to having a new star on the team, there's bound to be problems.

One of the executive producers behind this show, Greg Berlanti, is also behind a few of our other favorite TV series, like The Flash, Arrow, and Riverdale, so we feel like All American is in very capable hands, not to mention the acting vets who will be starring in this show, like Taye Diggs and Monet Mazur, who play Coach Baker and his wife, Laura. Daniel Ezra as Spencer James

Daniel Ezra stars as football player Spencer James in the new show. He's had previous roles in other TV projects like Prey and The Missing.

Taye Diggs as Coach Billy Baker

Veteran actor Taye Diggs plays Billy Baker, head coach of Beverly High's football team. Taye has numerous TV and film credits under his belt, like a recurring role in Empire as Angelo Dubois and Dr. Sam Bennett on Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy.

Greta Onieogou as Leila Faisal

The Heartland actress is set to play Leila Faisal, a student at Beverly High.

Bre-Z as Tiana "Coop" Cooper

Bre-Z, also well-known for her role as Freda in Empire, will play Tiana "Coop" Cooper, Spencer's best friend at Crenshaw High School.

Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker

The newcomer will play Beverly High School's star quarterback, team captain, and son of Coach Baker. Aside from a bit part in Empire, this is his first role.

Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker

You may recall Samantha Logan as Tia in The Fosters or as Nina in 13 Reasons Why, but for this show, she'll be playing Olivia Baker, the younger sister of Jordan who befriends Spencer at Beverly High.

Monet Mazur as Laura Fine-Baker

Monet Mazur is set to play Laura Fine-Baker, wife of Coach Baker and mother to Olivia and Jordan. Monet's acting résumé is long and includes some of your favorite movies like 40 Days and 40 Nights, Just Married, Monster in Law, and The House Bunny.

Cody Christian as Asher

Cody Christian, of Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf fame, will play Asher, the star wide receiver for the Beverly High football team, who may not be a huge fan of Spencer's arrival on the team.

Karimah Westbrook as Grace James

Karimah Westbrook will star as Grace James, Spencer's single mother, who does everything she can to help her son succeed both in school and at football.
