Just when we thought the Downton Abbey movie was never going to happen, the film adaptation of the popular period series was officially given the green light in June 2017. After getting a few glimpses with teasers, we now have the first trailer for what's sure to be a stunning feature.

The British period drama ended its sixth season in the US in 2016, and ever since, the production team behind the show had been hinting that a feature film would eventually make its way to screens. Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, and a handful of others are set to reprise their roles as members of the Crawley family. As we get reintroduced to our favorite characters in the trailer, we also learn that two very important figures will be making an appearance this time around: the king and queen. At the end of the clip, we see Cora Crawley (Elizabeth McGovern) curtsy as she welcomes the royals to Downton Abbey. How exciting!

Though the trailer certainly leaves us wanting more, the good news is that we don't have to wait too long to see the film in its entirety. The movie movie hits theaters on September 3! Until then, watch the rest of the teasers ahead.
