13 Nights of Halloween, Monstober, and All of October's Spooky Special Programming

While we're already figuring out what to watch on Halloween night, there are plenty of scary movies and shows to watch throughout the entire month of October. Now that ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween is officially kicking off this week, we're taking stock of all the networks that are airing special programming. Whether you're looking for cartoons, classic horror films, or movies for wimps, there's a marathon for you. Take a look below to find one that you'll want to DVR!

The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror

FX is airing every "Treehouse of Horror" episode from Oct. 25 to Oct. 30, grouped by theme (i.e. "Nightmares," "Aliens Attack," etc.). It culminates on Oct. 31, when all the special episodes will air in chronological order.

13 Nights of Halloween

ABC Family's annual celebration of all things spooky kicks off on Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 31. You can see the full lineup of scary movies here!

31 Days of Halloween

Syfy takes it up a notch with its October programming, which features a new original horror movie every Saturday night in October, plus scary movies throughout the month.

FearFest

The fun began on Oct. 18 for lovers of AMC's annual FearFest. The network airs classic horror movies like Friday the 13th and Child's Play from 9 a.m. to midnight on weekdays, then all weekend leading up to Oct. 31. Of course, it'll break for The Walking Dead on Sunday!

Monstober

The Disney Channel celebrates Halloween all month long with Monstober, formerly known as Wiz-tober. The network airs spooky Disney Channel movies like Halloweentown and Under Wraps, plus Pixar movies like Monsters University. Finally, on Oct. 31, there's a marathon of the best Halloween-themed episodes of Disney Channel shows.

TCM Horror

Turner Classic Movies continues its tradition of presenting tons of old horror movies all month. It's already aired theme nights like "Scary Kids" and "Rogue Body Parts," but you can catch "Treasures From the Disney Vault" on Oct. 28, in addition to the mixed bag of classic horror movies each day.
