Katy Keene: Everything We Know About Riverdale's Superstylish Spinoff

The new series will take the action to New York City. Variety described it as "a musical dramedy [that] chronicles the origins and struggles of four aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio."

It's expected to be tonally different from both Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, with the "musical dramedy" description suggesting it'll be lighter and more fun. Airing on The CW (the same network as Riverdale) opens up some exciting possibilities for the kind of crossover we haven't seen with Sabrina.

Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will once again take the helm, alongside Michael Grassi, a producer for Riverdale.
