Just about all of the award shows for 2021 have been pushed back to accommodate for the COVID-19 pandemic, which has put a damper on the entertainment industry as a whole. Along with moving the ceremonies, the various organizations behind each award show have adjusted the eligibility requirements to accommodate for delayed movie and TV premiere dates and modified schedules. Recently, the Grammys were postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 in the Los Angeles area, where the show was set to film, and now, the SAG Awards have been pushed back to avoid conflicting with the new Grammys date.
