On Netflix's Bridgerton, the Featheringtons might come the closest to being the show's villains, although the family isn't entirely a bad lot. The brigade of red-haired beauties aren't necessarily the most graceful, but they undeniably have a bold and brash presence wherever they go. Often dressed in bright gowns, they're just trying to secure money and save face like everyone else in London's high society, although Lady and Lord Featherington aren't above a shady plan to get ahead. Joining their family is the mysterious Miss Marina Thompson, a distant cousin from the countryside who injects their lives with extra drama as Lady Whistledown reports on the fair maiden.

Archibald and Portia Featherington

Compared to his wife, Archibald Featherington (Ben Miller) mostly fades into the background, not having much of an opinion on anything. However, he's known to make a bet or two in gambling circles — this habit becomes important toward the later end of the first season.

Like Lady Bridgerton, Portia Featherington (Polly Walker) just wants what's best for her daughters, playing the role of the micromanaging mother during London's social season. Unlike Viola, she's not above rigging the occasional sketchy Julie Cooper-esque scheme to help her girls get ahead in society. She also can't wait to get rid of her husband's cousin, who seems to be getting all of the attention she wants for her girls.

Penelope Featherington

Portrayed by Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, Penelope is mostly a kind and quiet observer of London society, often overlooked or derided by those around her. Her best friend is the brash and brazen Eloise Bridgerton, and unlike the rest of her family, she chooses to be friendly with Marina.

Philippa and Prudence Featherington

Penelope's older sisters Philippa (Harriet Cains) and Prudence (Bessie Carter) aren't exactly the kindest siblings. They've both been attending social events to find potential suitors, Philippa set on Mr. Finch.

Marina Thompson

A distant cousin of Lord Featherington, Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker) has been sent from the country to live with her relatives during the social season. While suitors immediately pine after her, the mysterious lady harbors a major secret of her own.
