Before drawing critical attention for The Descendants and The Spectacular Now (and landing roles in The Fault In Our Stars and Divergent), Shailene Woodley starred as teen mom Amy Juergens in the long-running ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She stuck with the show throughout its run from 2008-2013, but expressed her disappointment with the role in an interview with Flaunt magazine last year, saying, "I didn't like it because if it started to change, I had no control over it. The things that we were preaching on that show weren't really aligned with my own integrity."
