The similarities between characters on Family Guy and The Simpsons are brought to the audience's attention in the trial scene, showing Carl Carlson sitting with Cleveland Brown, James Woods with his Simpsons counterpart, Krusty the Clown with Mort Goldman, and Mayor West sitting with Mayor Joe Quimby.
