When we meet Daario Naharis, a Tyroshi sellsword, in season three, it's clear that there's an instant attraction between him and Dany. She's more intrigued at first than anything, but thanks to plenty of witty banter and a genuine affection, their relationship turns physical. Although Daario falls head over heels for the Dragon Queen, she's got bigger fish to fry (er, marry) in King's Landing, so she leaves him brokenhearted in Meereen.
Their breakup scene in the season six finale is tender and sad, and for a fleeting moment you really think she might cave in to Daario's requests to accompany her to Westeros. She decides against it, though, and they part on relatively amicable terms, and afterwards she tells Tyrion that she "felt nothing" while breaking things off with him. Maybe she just needed someone to remind her exactly of how perfect a butt she was leaving behind?
