Gilmore Guys

Need a quick way to brush up on Gilmore Girls before the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life comes out? Well, here's a solution: why not listen to some Gilmore Guys? In each installment, superfan Kevin Porter takes new fan Demi Adejuyigbe through an episode of the show. As far as recap podcasts go, this is the best of the best. They break down, gab, laugh, and cry about each detail of each episode so you don't have to. This podcast has a huge cult following and the boys frequently take their show literally on the road, so check out their website for any live episodes being taped near you.

The X Files Files

The X Files Files

Comedian, actor, and podcaster Kumail Nanjiani hosts the ultimate podcast for fans of The X-Files: The X Files Files. In each installment, Nanjiani and a guest recap a different episode of the series, beginning with episode one. Aside from Nanjiani being an incredible host, the podcast has some extra perks: live episodes are sometimes taped at The Cinefamily in Los Angeles, and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have even been guests on the show. It's on the Feral Audio network, which boasts other great podcasts such as Call Chelsea Peretti, My Favorite Murder, and Doughboys.

Seincast

Per the description on iTunes, Seincast is two guys recapping all 180 episodes of Seinfeld in excruciating detail. Sounds great to me. I love excruciating details! The hosts rate episodes, share insider information, and recap memorable moments of all your favorite characters. Did you know that "The Pen" is the only Seinfeld episode that doesn't feature George? And one of two that doesn't feature Kramer? If you listened to Seincast, you'd know things like this already.

Buffering the Vampire Slayer

Buffering the Vampire Slayer

First off, if you were ever going to listen to a podcast for the name alone, this should be it. Buffering the Vampire Slayer? Great work. This weekly podcast hosted by Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo goes through the entire series one episode at a time. Bonus: they make custom, original songs for each episode. The podcast just started, so hop on the bandwagon now. Team Spike forever!

Watch What Crappens

Watch What Crappens

This weekly podcast hosted by Ben Mandelker and Ronnie Karam recaps all the reality TV that Bravo has to offer. Think The People's Couch, but more X-rated. Whether it's Top Chef, Vanderpump Rules, or The Real Housewives from Orange County, Ben and Ronnie cover them all. Remember when La La from Vanderpump Rules said she found a new hobby and it was books? That moment itself deserves a podcast. Well, here it is!

The Twilight Zone Zone

The Twilight Zone Zone

In each episode of The Twilight Zone Zone, LA comedians Jeremy Schmidt and Ron Lechler invite a guest over to watch an episode of the show and chat about it. Funny and informative, it's worth a listen. Plus, who doesn't love that Twilight Zone theme music? I could just listen to that and the Serial intro for an hour and be happy. My favorite Twilight Zone episode is "Number 12 Looks Just Like You," in case anyone was wondering.

Drunk Degrassi: The Podcast

Drunk Degrassi: The Podcast

It's always important to pay respect to the Canadian high school drama that gave us Drake. Yes, I'm talking about Degrassi. His character was actually James "Jimmy" Brooks and he was a star athlete who gets shot in season four and spends the rest of the show in a wheelchair. Wild. Well, if you need a refresher, the Drunk Degrassi podcast is a great place to start. Hosted by Rebecca Shortall and Michael Dyllan, these real-life best friends get drunk and talk all things Degrassi.

Thank You for Being a Podcast: The Golden Girls Podcast

Thank You for Being a Podcast: The Golden Girls Podcast

Golden Girls is the original Sex and the City. I'd take Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia over Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte any day. These ladies are iconic. Golden Girls has some of the best and most relatable writing of all time. For example: the time Dorothy is in a bad mood and Rose asks where she's going and Dorothy replies, "To get ice cream or commit a felony. I'll decide in the car!" I could talk about Golden Girls forever; however, there's already a podcast that does it for me.

Go Bayside!

Go Bayside!

I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so . . . scared! Hosted by April Richardson, Go Bayside recaps all things Saved By The Bell. In each installment, April and a guest watch an episode of the show and then talk about it. The guests are definitely a highlight of the show; April is always joined by a hilarious writer, actor, and/or comedian who has a unique and important take on why AC Slater has to sit backwards in a chair like that.

Best of Friends Podcast

Best of Friends Podcast

They market themselves as "The #1 Friends Podcast in the world, as far as we know!" and I like that kind of confidence in a podcast. Hosted by real-life best of friends Erin Mallory Long, Krista Doyle, and Jamie Woodham, the podcast takes you through every episode of friends with insider information, trivia, and a joke or two. They've also had a live show at UCB Theater in Los Angeles, so watch out for upcoming events in the future if you live in the area. Aside from the great recaps, if you follow them on Twitter, you'll learn some other vital information and trivia as well. For example, did you know that David Schwimmer's wife sews rap lyrics onto vintage lingerie? You do now! Important.

The West Wing Weekly

The West Wing Weekly

Does this election season have you jonesin' for even more politics? Were you a fan of The West Wing? Well, The West Wing Weekly podcast breaks down episodes of the show for you (so diplomatic of them). And one huge plus: it's hosted by one of its stars, Joshua Malina. Although the West Wing ended in 2006, this podcast goes episode-by-episode so you'll have YEARS worth of listening to do. That's a lot of time at the gym. This show is perfect for fans of the show who want to relive the series again, or is a great addition for first time viewers who might have some additional questions while watching.
