Like the book, the eight-episode series will follow Miles "Pudge" Halter, a bored teen who is forever searching for a great adventure and finds it when he starts attending Culver Creek Boarding School. He meets and falls head over heels for his mysterious neighbor, Alaska Young, who steals his heart and leads him into a world of crazy. After she unexpectedly dies, he and his close friends attempt to uncover the truth behind her death and make sense of it.
