Since the show is an anthology, with individual stories, the big gaps between episodes won't result in too much confusion or forgetting what happened last time. The big question, of course, is if — and how — the separate episodes are connected. Although the creators have been tight-lipped as to whether the actual stories will connect somehow, there definitely is an overarching theme to the episodes. Each monthly episode is connected to (or set on) a holiday in that month. So the October episode takes place on Halloween, the November episode is Thanksgiving-themed, and so on.
