From the outset, the first teaser trailer for The Boys season two is (quite literally) bloody, dark, and hilarious, so yep, it's business as usual over here. The trailer was screened on Friday at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, at the Amazon panel and showed that everyone is back to their old tricks.

The Amazon Original series is set to air in 2020, and while Amazon has yet to confirm an exact premiere date, there's a lot to look forward to. The first shot of the teaser shows Antony Starr's Captain America-esque character, Homelander, gliding toward the ground with a look of horror on his blood-splattered face. What comes next is a quick-fire montage of shots that involve gory scenes of death and decapitation, explosive scenes starring The Deep (Chace Crawford), and Homelander . . . drinking breast milk. Yes, you read that correctly.

The dark comic adaptation is the work of Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke, and is a comedic take on a group of superheroes who abuse their powers and the vigilantes who are trying to take them down. The first season of The Boys, which aired in August, was hugely popular, with Amazon confirming it was one of their top streamed original series for 2019.

The second installment will see Aya Cash (You're the Worst) join the cast alongside returning cast members Karl Urban, Jennifer Esposito, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, and Jack Quaid. Watch the full trailer above and get ready for another violent, gory, and hilarious season of The Boys.
