Being a fan of Westworld means that you're confused about half the time you're watching — it comes with the territory. While the HBO series is filled with intricate storylines and even crazier technology, one of aspects that keeps us guessing since day one is determining who is and isn't a host. Though there are some obvious hosts in the park, like Dolores and Maeve, others weren't as easily recognized at first. Heck, even Bernard didn't even know he was a host for a long time. Now that the show is back for season three, we've created a handy guide to help you keep track of who is human, host, or just plain dead.
Is Dolores a Host on Westworld?
Since the beginning of the series, Dolores has been one of the most cunning and smartest hosts in Westworld. Now, she's getting ready to wreak havoc in the real world after escaping the park at the end of season two.
Is Teddy a Host on Westworld?
Teddy is one of the most prominent hosts on the series. However, after getting his program adjusted to help Dolores with her dirty work, he is eventually decommissioned when he shoots himself in the head. At the end of season two, Dolores transfers his mind to the Sublime, so that he can finally be at peace.
Is Maeve a Host on Westworld?
Throughout the series, Maeve has proven to be one of the most resourceful hosts in Westworld. After using her abilities to help a group of hosts enter the Sublime, her character is decommissioned in the season two finale. Clearly she doesn't stay down for long though, because the season three trailer shows her alive in well in a new park.
