2019 Is Going to Be Disney's Most Magical Year Yet Thanks to These 30+ New Attractions

Can you believe Mickey and Minnie Mouse are 90 years old? Disneyland is celebrating this huge milestone starting in January 2019. Guests will discover new and enhanced entertainment plus limited-time decor, specialty foods, and merchandise throughout Disneyland Resort!

Mickey's Mix Magic is lighting up the Disneyland sky starting Jan. 18, 2019. This high-energy show is going to be shown nightly, with state-of-the-art projections, lighting, and lasers, all in celebration of Mickey Mouse. On select nights, the show will be enhanced with the addition of fireworks.

Jan. 25 through Feb. 17, Disneyland Resort will ring in the Year of the Pig for Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure. Guests will encounter limited-time entertainment like Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession, and an abundance of Asian food and kid-friendly activities will be available as well.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is making its return from March 1 until April 23, 2019. With more than a dozen festival marketplaces featuring small plates, specialty wine, and craft beer, guests can experience the best of California cuisine. There will be celebrity chef appearances and family-friendly cooking demonstrations to bring the magic of cooking to all guests.

The first Disneyland After Dark special ticket event of the year is Feb. 7, 2019. Sweethearts' Nite will bring guests into a fairy-tale romance with access to rare character greetings, photo ops, entertainment, themed food and beverage, attractions, and more.

Disneyland After Dark is also going to be celebrating a beloved decade on March 7, 2019, with '90s Nite, which will allow guests to have access to fireworks, entertainment, character greeting, complimentary keepsakes, and more.

One of two attractions coming in 2019 to Disneyland's Pixar Pier is Jessie's Critter Carousel. This newly reimagined attraction will feature Toy Story pal Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl and all of her animal pals.

The second new attraction to open in 2019 at Pixar Pier is going to be the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. This attraction will be located within the Inside Out Headquarters in the western end of the pier.

Tropical Hideaway is set to open in late 2018, so it's still going to be pretty new in 2019. Located near the Jungle Cruise attraction, this new dining location will serve a variety of unique foods and beverages, including Spiced Vegetable Bao, Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, and Bulgogi Beef Bao.

Starting Feb. 1, 2019, at Disney California Adventure, Vampirina is joining the Disney Junior Dance Party! The show features music and popular Disney pals.

Tangoroa Terrace, Tropical Bar and Grill is set to reopen at the Disneyland Hotel in early 2019. Guests will find beautiful outdoor dining locations and live music in the evenings.

If you haven't been to The Void at the Downtown Disney District (Disneyland) or Disney Springs (Disney World) in a while, you're going to want to go check out its new experience, Ralph Breaks VR, which is open now. Guests will go into the internet with Ralph and Vanellope and encounter some new friends and foes along the way!

Opening in early 2019, Ballast Point brewery is going to be at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland. This new dining option is going to bring guests into a 7,000-square-foot, family-friendly space. It will feature Downtown Disney District's first-ever on-site brewery, tasting room, kitchen, and outdoor beer garden.

Returning in September 2019, Halloween Time at Disneyland will bring the spooky season to life. Guests will encounter festive decorations, attraction overlays like Haunted Mansion Holiday, and specialty treats.

The holidays are even more magical at Disneyland. Starting in November 2019, Disneyland Holiday will return, including things like beautiful decorations and special entertainment throughout the resort.

The biggest single-land expansion in Disney history is coming Summer 2019 to Disneyland and Fall 2019 to Walt Disney World. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a place where guests can live their own adventure and explore Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. The land will include two new attractions and a new restaurant. One great thing about Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is that it will feature original music created by John Williams, who has composed the score for the Star Wars films.

Join a battle between the First Order and the Resistance, including a faceoff with Kylo Ren, on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. No matter which side you're on, the attraction is sure to leave guests in awe.

Live out lifelong dreams of flying the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Guests will take the controls in one of three roles aboard the ship for the ride of a lifetime.

There's a new transportation system coming to Walt Disney World, the Disney Skyliner. This gondola system will connect Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four different resorts: Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and the new Disney Vacation Club property, Disney's Riviera Resort.

Over at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, guests can dance with Mickey, Minnie, and the gang in front of Cinderella's Castle. There will be live singers performing new arrangements of classic Mickey Mouse Club songs. For official times, be sure to grab a times guide as you walk into the park.

Starting in the Fall of 2019, Epcot Forever will be a limited-time nighttime show. It will feature classic Epcot tunes, fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and special-effect kites. Epcot Forever will debut after the final run of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth in Summer 2019.

In addition to a new logo starting Jan. 18, 2019, the Incredibles are making their way over to Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Pixar Place will be transformed into a Municiberg city block. Here, guests will find a party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and Frozone, and guests can meet Edna Mode!

Opening Spring 2019 in Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy is going to put guests right into the universe of Cars. Lightning is going to be demonstrating what he's learned over the years with a new racing simulator and wraparound screen.

There's going to be new nighttime entertainment at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World as well, with the debut of Wonderful World of Animation as part of the park's 30th anniversary celebration. The show is going to use state-of-the-art projection technology to celebrate 90 years of Disney animation, starting with Mickey Mouse! The show is set to debut in May 2019.

Starting Fall 2019, guests can begin to experience Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, which is located in the Chinese Theater where The Great Movie Ride was in Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. This new attraction is going to be the first-ever themed to Mickey Mouse and is modeled after the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse cartoons.

Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World is launching a new dance party featuring some of your favorite friends like Timon and Rafiki from The Lion King. This show is going to be presented daily on the Discovery Island stage starting Jan. 18, 2019.

A new 15-story tower is set to open Summer 2019 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World. The tower is going to feature a rooftop restaurant with incredible views of nightly fireworks.

A new Disney Vacation Club resort is going to be opening in Walt Disney World in Fall 2019. The resort is themed after the European grandeur Walt Disney experienced in his travels, and the resort will connect to the Disney Skyliner.

Opening Summer 2019 in Walt Disney World, City Works Eatery & Pour House will be on Disney Springs' Westside. The new restaurant is going to specialize in craft beer and delicious food. This is going to be the place to be to watch sporting events, as the restaurant will include a 165-inch screen!

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill opened in December 2018 and is going to be a popular place to eat in 2019 at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World. The new restaurant features some of the celebrity chef's signature dishes, including smoked salmon pizza!

Another new top-chef-led restaurant opening at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World is from José Andrés. Jaleo is opening late 2018 and will feature traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine.

Out at sea, Disney Cruise Line has announced the return of themed cruises. These popular cruises are on select sailings and include Star Wars Day at Sea, Marvel Day at Sea, Halloween on the High Seas, and Very Merrytime cruises.
