Disneyland's Oogie Boogie Bash Is Going to Be Frightful Fun For the Whole Family

Oogie Boogie Bash is going to be filled with characters! From being able to meet your favorite Disney pals, to seeing some super rare characters that have never appeared in a park in the United States before, your family is in for a treat. Character locations are available on the Disneyland app and on park map guides.

Throughout the park there will be new, immersive treat trails where you and your family can collect candy! These treat trails are going to feature Halloween-style music, themed decorations, and some of Disney's most infamous villains, including Oogie Boogie and the Mad Hatter.

Three of Disney California Adventure's rides get spooky fun layovers during the Halloween season. Over in Cars Land, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters gets transformed into Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree gets turned into Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree. Then Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout gets turned into Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark.

These attractions are available with the layover during throughout the Halloween season at Disneyland Resort. If you're only planning on going to Disneyland once during Halloween, and planning to spend one night at Oogie Boogie Bash, we would suggest doing these attractions during the party for a lesser wait time — party nights have a limited crowd.

A brand-new show called Mickey's Trick and Treat is perfect for when your family wants a little break off your feet during the evening. The show is going to re-tell some Halloween stories inside the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land.

Throughout the event there will be endless amounts of Halloween-themed treats. You can purchase the Halloween treats at any time of day, and there are no party exclusives. Your party ticket allows you early entry into the park; take advantage of that time to try some of these tasty treats!

Over at Grizzly Peak, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is getting turned into Villains Grove. This new space is going to allow kids and families to explore a maze filled with villains-themed zones. This is going to be the perfect place for kids to run off some of their energy after eating their trick-or-treat candy.

An all-new Halloween version of World of Color is coming to Oogie Boogie Bash, called Villainous. The show debuts a new character Shelley Marie as she explores some new sides to the Disney villains. Since this is a party-exclusive show, we would highly suggest your family get to the viewing areas around Paradise Bay at least 45 minutes to an hour early for a great spot.

With the popularity of the recently releasedDescendants 3, Disney has created a fun new dance party near the Backlot area of Hollywood Land. Kids can dance and sing along with some of their favorite characters from the movies.

Just like the food and drink options for the Halloween season, there's no party-exclusive merchandise. That means you and your family can grab the new Oogie Boogie ears before the party even starts, so you're not waiting in line for something that's not candy!

Families are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume. There are some guidelines that you should be aware of, including that kids over 14 cannot wear a mask, and costumes cannot drag on the ground.
