Boredom and toddlers don't mix well. Put your kids to work with little projects to give them purpose while you're trying to get dinner on the table and perhaps cross a phone call or two off your list. Something as simple as a bowl full of ice cubes and a whisk or a few pieces of tupperware with lids that need matching can keep them (surprisingly) entertained.
