How Rude! 8 Times Celebrity Moms Got Shamed in 2017

When it comes to people putting their two cents in on parenting decisions, no one gets it worse than celebrity mamas, who live life in the spotlight. And while most of the feedback famous mothers get is nothing but positive and supportive, there are always a few bad apples in the bunch.

Like years past, 2017 was no exception when it came to keyboard warriors doling out hurtful comments. These are the celebs who were on the receiving end of mom-shaming this year, even though they definitely didn't ask for it.

01

Jenna Dewan Tatum

The professional dancer took heat from all directions after posting a racy photo of herself in a black bodysuit on social media. Dewan Tatum responded to the hateful comments with an Instagram post of the quote: "You can tell who the strong women are. They are the ones you see building up one another instead of tearing each other down."

02

Pink

Pink faced backlash from some of her followers for posting this cooking photo to Instagram in July. Mommy-shamers said she had her infant son too close to the hot pan.

03

Megan Fox

People went off on the Transformers star for letting her son wear a Frozen dress. Her husband, Brian Austin Green, addressed the comments in an interview a few weeks later: "My son, he's 4. I've heard from some people that they don't agree. They don't agree with him wearing dresses," said Green. "To them I say, 'I don't care.' He's 4, and if he wants to wear it, then he wears it. It's dresses or goggles or slippers — whatever. It's his life. They're not my clothes."

04

Chrissy Teigen

Unfortunately, Chrissy Teigen is no stranger to mom-shaming, but we definitely give her kudos for standing up for herself. She publicly fought back against a troll who criticized her for having Luna through IVF (after trying for 9 years to get pregnant). Teigen called her out by name on Twitter, writing: "Hi Linda, thanks for asking, you complete witch. I tried for about 9 years. Anything else, let me know!" Boom — roasted.

05

Olivia Wilde

Remember when the Beckham family got completely panned for kissing their children on the lips? Well, Olivia Wilde got the same reaction after posting this completely innocuous picture of her smooching her son to Instagram, proving that people are truly relentless.

06

Beyoncé

Yup, even Queen Bey was hated on this year. People nitpicked this date-night photo she posted after giving birth to her twins, Rumi and Carter, because she was drinking wine and breastfeeding, despite the fact she never discussed how she feeds her children.

07

Stacey Solomon

English singer and reality star Stacey Solomon got slammed after she posted this picture of her taking a bath with her sons. Many criticized her for not teaching her children about "boundaries and privacy," suggesting it was an inappropriate thing to do with kiddos that age.

Solomon defended herself on TV by saying: "I'm not horrified at all. Anyone who's horrified at the thought of parents sharing a bath with their children, I think, has issues."

08

Kelly Clarkson

It's not the American Idol season one winner's first time at the rodeo either when it comes to mommy-shaming. The singer got flack for sharing an adorable video of her daughter, River, enjoying her first experience with Nutella (who doesn't love that stuff?!) because it wasn't healthy enough.
