Um, Did Kim Kardashian Just Steal Beyoncé's Met Gala Look?
When Kim Kardashian excitedly revealed she was wearing Roberto Cavalli to this year's Met Gala, we got all tingly inside. Not only would this be designer Peter Dundas's first dress for the label, but we also couldn't wait to see how Kim would channel the evening's theme, China: Through the Looking Glass. After all, Kim loves to make a racy statement on the red carpet, and she's not exactly one to play by the rules.
While Kim's white sparkling gown, which flowed into a long feathered train, was perhaps as sheer as we expected it to be, it was also shocking for a different reason: Beyoncé wore a very similar design to the Met Gala back in 2012. While the singer's black and purple embellished gown was by Givenchy, both Beyoncé and Kim had similar moments on the stairs as they looked back at it, their gowns trailing elegantly behind them.
Kim took to Instagram to announce that the inspiration behind her dress was actually Cher at the very first Met Gala, but read on to see the comparison between Kim and Beyoncé, and then tell us if you wish Kim's design was just a bit more unique.
