May's not only a new month but prime time to start dressing like it's a new season, too. Sure, Summer's not officially here, but it's well on its way — and if it still isn't warming up, we're willing it to with this set of swimsuits, sandals, and sundresses. Not just any old kinds, either — our editors hand-picked favorites and new arrivals from the brands we love and the up-and-coming labels to know. Inside, you'll find the 24 pieces we're currently shopping, including a few finds from our friend, designer and style guru Misha Nonoo. Read on to see it all.
"I'll preface this by saying I typically hate white jeans. That said, I'm always on the hunt for a pair come Summer, and Madewell's distressed Cali demi-boot jeans ($135) seem to have miraculously solved my problem." — Hannah Weil McKinley, director, Fashion
"I usually don't wear a lot of jewelry but have recently been coveting this Maria Black earring ($164). It's simple enough to wear everyday or as a modern statement piece to finish off a black-tie look." — Misha Nonoo
"OK, I'll be the first one to admit that I have a problem with hoarding white t-shirts, so you'll have to excuse me for wanting to add this Gucci Print Cotton T-Shirt ($550) to my collection. Plus, this vintage Gucci logo tee has already become a celebrity staple." — Nikita Ramsinghani, assistant editor, Fashion
"The gingham print on this Solid & Striped suit ($148) is the hands-down easiest way to channel Summer's sweet vibes. I even plan to wear mine as a bodysuit when I'm not at the beach — plus, the pink will look even better with a tan." — HWM
"Comfortable Spring/Summer shoes are a must, but they have to be cute. Sigerson Morrison's denim mules ($275) fulfill both requirements." — HWM
"Comfort is always key in my book, and these Silence + Noise Ashton Snap Button Track Pants from Urban Outfitters ($69) fit the bill perfectly. Just imagine these pants with a button-down and mules." — NR
"Do I really have to convince you why I need Rosie Assoulin's Cork Screw Top ($1,695)? This Summer, I plan to invest in next-level tops that elevate my style rather than sticking to simple bodysuits and crop tops." — Sarah Wasilak, editor, Fashion
"I love a daily reminder of all that is good in the world! The motivational POPSUGAR-exclusive Samantha Faye Inspiration Cuff ($80) reads, 'Be good. Do good. Feel good.' and keeps me upbeat and inspired. I love to stack it with other favorite bracelets or wear it alone for a minimalistic look." — Lisa Sugar, POPSUGAR president
This cuff was hand-selected to be featured in the POPSUGAR Must Have box and is one of our fashion accessories items right now. Subscribe to the Must Have box to receive treats like this monthly!
"Everyone's obsessed with the Cult Gaia bags and I too want a basket bag. I wore this J.McLaughlin wicker piece ($138) for a photo shoot and had to stop myself from sneaking it off set! I think it's finally time I buy the bag." — Marina Liao, assistant editor, Fashion
"Can you tell I have a denim obsession? Rebecca Taylor's overalls ($475) are all grown up and more like a jumpsuit, so you can wear them to the office. (Yes, really.)" — HWM
"Instead of wearing your heart on your sleeve, wear these AZIZ earrings by Dannijo ($145). The beads give your regular ol' hoops a fun upgrade and make just the statement you need. I'd rock the accessory with a plain white tee and frayed denim shorts." — Marina Liao
"You can never have too many swimsuits, and what says Summer more than a crocheted bikini? I'm already envisioning myself hanging out by the pool in this lavender Ivy bikini by Maiyo ($90)." — NR
"Tap into Spring's statement stripes trend with this graphic bomber jacket ($450). I'll throw this over a wide-leg jumpsuit to dress it down for day." — MN
"With my trip to California right around the corner, I wanted a new pair of retro sunglasses. The plan is to drive up the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway in these rad Elizabeth and James McKinley sunglasses ($185). Silk neck scarf optional." — NR
"These Piñata Tassel Earrings from Bauble Bar ($36) remind me of those chic ones Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. What's not to love about that?" — NR
"If it doesn't feel like Summer yet, throw on Reformation's Geneva dress ($218) — the lightweight linen and blue and white stripes should do the trick!" — HWM
"Hayward's Mini Gold Brocade Shopper ($790) is well worth the splurge. This is a vintage-inspired piece I'll wear year round, and it comes in such a glowing, standout color too." — SW
"Kisuii's Estela Tiered Lace Maxi ($550) can certainly be styled with a slip and chunky platforms for dinner, but this will be the cover-up I throw over every bikini and one-piece before I hit the beach." — SW
"If you're in the market for retro, oversize shades, I can assure you Kate Young's June Sunglasses for Tura ($282) are completely flattering and more chic than they are playful." — SW
"Ready for another coffee table book? It's All About Shoes ($45) focuses on the footwear choices of fashion mavens. I'm all for looking at pretty photos of shoes, as that's basically what I do on the daily." — ML
"I have trouble finding cute, work-appropriate skirts, but this one by J.O.A. ($80) solves all my problems. The soft linen material is perfect for the start of May, and when paired with a crisp pair of white sneakers? Street style GOLD." — ML
"Here's a top I will wear in May and beyond. Aritzia's cayenne knit piece ($75) is soft to the touch and stretchy too. My favorite part is the long straps, which you can tie a number of ways to give your outfits a new look every time. The crop style will pair well with my high-waisted gingham pants." — ML
"Sunglasses are my guilty pleasure. This round framed pair from Garrett Leight ($365) is the perfect blend of throwback retro and modern it girl." — MN
"My Chiara cutout jumpsuit ($695) is a chic one-and-done piece to outfit when your friend says 'I do.'" — MN
