RunDisney Is Hosting Its First Villains-Themed Race, and It's Sure to Sell Out

RunDisney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend has always been a fan favorite because, well, Disney and wine — but in 2020, the race is taking on a villainous theme that will undoubtedly lure even more people in. (See what we did there?) That's right: You'll find Disney villains all along the courses and on those prized finisher's medals, in addition to experiencing the trappings this fun, flavorful weekend is known for, including an exclusive, post-race feast held in Epcot.

The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will take place November 5 to 8 at Walt Disney World in 2020, and include a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and a "Two Course" Challenge, in which runners can dare to complete the 10K and half marathon in the same weekend. If you're already planning your costume (Same!), you'll want to take some simple steps to ensure you secure a bib before the race sells out. As someone who has finished 40 RunDisney races, I've got it down to a science. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Walt Disney World annual pass holders and Disney Vacation Club members are able to register before the general public. While this date hasn't yet been announced, you should check the runDisney website for updates.
  • Registration will open to the general public on March 10, 2020, at 10 a.m. ET. Set an alarm on your phone for a few minutes before registration starts so you'll be one of the first in line.
  • Speaking of signing on, be sure to create a RunDisney account, which is attached to My Disney Experience, before registration day, in order to save precious seconds that morning.
