[ JOURNEY🌻 ]• I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it • It doesn’t happen over night, it takes time • Learning to be patient is so important as you look towards achieving your goals • Be proud of what you achieve along the way and the lessons you learn about yourself • It can be so empowering knowing just how strong you really are... 🙈✌️😉 My journey and training has changed many times over the past 4 years of doing #bbg. Going from working part time to working Fulltime was a big shift. 2013 ➡️ 2017 •• Today is my #kaylaversary! 🎉One year ago today I started #BBG 🤸🏼‍♀️ and one year ago today I also made a promise to myself to eat healthier, exercise regularly, workout hard, and never give up on myself.💛 My goals have changed a lot in the last year🌱 I always just wanted to be "skinny", then I wanted to be strong, and now I just want to be happy and feel good. Whatever body type I am, I have no idea and I don't care. Just workin' on living healthy and loving myself 👐🏻💕 •• ✨Sometimes it feels impossible to change your life, but every little step counts. Set small goals and celebrate them! It took me almost 3 years and a lot of failing and giving up on myself to be able to make the decision to change my lifestyle. Remember you're not stuck where you are, your body can do anything you want it to. It's your mind you have to convince. Don't give up on yourself, remember how far you've come and be proud of yourself! 💛

I started @kayla_itsines #bbg program spontaneously after finding her Instagram and being absolutely blown away by all the amazing transformations 🙌🏻👯 I wasn't particularly unhealthy in my body at that time, but I didn't feel good about myself either. I did heaps of running and yoga and never saw much change in how I looked physically, which was frustrating and disheartening to me. I think the reason I love BBG is because it actually works- the workouts are hard and that is ultimately what helps to build muscle and change body composition 💪🏻 I really think there is something so beautiful about pushing yourself through your BBG workout because every time you do, you are teaching yourself that you can do hard things and that you are strong, and this feeling quickly starts to carry over to the rest of your life. The sense of strength and empowerment is ultimately what will change your life, the results are just a (fantastic) bonus :)

This photo has been doing the rounds on instagram the past week. It’s been reposted by a lot of “diet” accounts so I just want to take this opportunity to make some things clear: 1. I did not follow any of the diets that these pages sell! There is no such thing as a quick fix - results take consistency and time. 2. However, it did not take me 5 years to lose weight but I have been on this journey for a while 😜 Over that period of time I have gained and lost weight due to health issues, a full term pregnancy and multiple miscarriages. 3. About 1.5 years after having my little girl I decided I wanted to get fit for good (the third pic - when I was 30 years old). . 4. I started doing the @kayla_itsines BBG in September 2015 and completed over 77 weeks of the program. 5. In August 2016 I joined a gym and added some heavier weight training to my program. 6. In February 2017 I found a coach @jorwndavid and started following a powerlifting style program exclusively for my training. Since then I have trained on average 4-5 times a week. I do 4 lifting sessions and max 1 cardio session a week. 7. Recently I have been eating intuitively, but the results in the final photo were achieved by (loosely) tracking macros (IIFYM) from March 2016 onwards. Hope that clears a few things up! 😘😘

#tbt to one of my first #bbg pics and some random thoughts on fitness progress that can hopefully be helpful to anyone who feels stuck in a way or another. 🔹 Go ahead no matter what. It won’t happen overnight but even if the progress is slow it shouldn’t prevent you from continuing. 🔹 If you quit, you will never discover what you were capable of and how far could you go. 🔹 Keep your macros balanced. You should have all of them in your diet every day - protein, carbs and fats. Make sure you have enough protein each day. 🔹 One junk meal won’t ruin your progress just as one clean meal won’t help you achieve any progress. Strive for a 20/80 (or better 15/85 formula) and you will never have to worry about your nutrition. 🔹One skipped workout won’t ruin your progress neither but you will not have any progress doing a random workout now and then. Non accadrà da un giorno all’altro ma anche se i risultati sono lenti, questo non dovrebbe fermarti. 🔹 Se ti fermi, non scoprirai mai cosa ero capace di fare e fon dove potevi arrivare. 🔹 Fai in modo di bilanciare i macronutrienti in quel che mangi giornalmente. Hai bisogno di tutto - proteine, carboidrati e grassi. Assicurati di mangiare abbastanza proteine ogni giorno. 🔹Un pasto spazzatura non rovinerà i tuoi progressi così come un pasto salutare non ti farà raggiungere nessun progresso. Cerca di bilanciare le cose con la formula 20/80 (o ancora meglio 15/85) e non dovrai mai preoccuparti della tua nutrizione. 🔹 Nemmeno un allenamento saltato non rovinerà i tuoi progressi ma non avrai progressi con un solo allenamento fatto ogni tanto. Still a ways to go but I’m definitely feeling this journey 💪😳 the picture on the left was a very depressing time for me. I hated going outside and walking because my body would literally ache in pain constantly 😩 my feet were always swollen and my shoulders would actually ache too just from all the weight being pulled down from my arms. I never want to go back to where I was. NEVER. I want to keep pushing myself to be the best version of me I can be. Even if it means doing that last burpee 🙄 so glad I found @kayla_itsines @sweat app! It literally pushed me from picture left to picture right 😳🙌💕 and I know it will push me even further.
