Mountain Hardwear Micro Thermostatic Jacket

Mountain Hardwear Micro Thermostatic Jacket

For an extra layer on a chilly Fall hike or to throw on something quick before a yoga class, the Mountain Hardwear Micro Thermostatic Jacket ($175) has been perfect. Lightweight, thin, and made of synthetic Thermal.Q™ Elite 40-gram insulation, it's warm without feeling heavy or bulky. I love the two outer zippered pockets and the fact that it can be stuffed in a bag without taking up much room. Come Winter weather, this baby will be perfect under a waterproof shell, so I know I'll get a lot of use out of it. This jacket comes in raspberry, gray, light purple, and black.

Dang Spicy Coconut Chips

Dang Spicy Coconut Chips

I have been a longtime fan of Dang's products, but its new chili lime chips ($9) are out of this world. At first I wasn't sure how I would feel about this flavor, but each crunchy bite offers the ideal blend of smoky, spicy, and sweet. I love them on top of yogurt with pineapple and basically had to ask everyone in the office to eat some, so I wouldn't finish the bag in one sitting.

Vimmia Warrior One Capris

Vimmia Warrior One Capris

I've long been a fan of Vimmia leggings; the thicker leggings provide the right amount of comforting compression. Vimmia has created the Warrior One Breast Cancer Awareness Capri ($104), an abstracted pink cammo legging to honor the courageous women battling breast cancer. Starting this month through the end of the year, 20 percent of the proceeds of this legging will go to breast cancer research at treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Bentology Bento Jar

Bentology Bento Jar

Chillier weather means craving fewer salads and more warm, comforting foods like soups, quinoa bowls, pasta, and roasted veggies. Instead of having to warm up lunch in the microwave, I'm loving these Bentology Bento Jars (11 ounces for $15, 17 ounces for $17). Just pour hot water in the empty jar to heat it up, pour out the water, add your hot lunch (leftovers work great!), and seal it tight, and a toasty lunch will be waiting for you come noontime (up to six hours). And it's not just for hot stuff. You can also make a cold green smoothie and pack it to enjoy later.

New Balance NB Heat Hoodie

New Balance NB Heat Hoodie

The New Balance NB Heat Hoodie ($85) is everything I need for chilly Fall runs. The adjustable scuba neck and thumbholes give me a little more warmth when I need it, and the back has a ventilation panel that keeps me dry. I plan on bundling up in this layering piece all season long.

Gluten-Free Girl American Classics Reinvented

Gluten-Free Girl American Classics Reinvented

While I do not need to follow a strict gluten-free diet, I do feel better when wheat and refined carbs are stripped from my diet. I also love to share special treats with a surprising number of people in San Francisco who steer clear of gluten at all costs! If you can relate, you need Gluten-Free Girl: American Classics Reinvented ($30) in your cookbook arsenal. The book's dedication alone says it best: "For every person who needs to be gluten-free and still wants a slice of damned good pie."

Vita Coco Coconut Oil

Vita Coco Coconut Oil

It's no secret that coconut oil has a myriad of uses. I keep a jar of Vita Coco's extra-virgin, raw, cold-pressed coconut oil ($16 for an 18-ounce jar) on hand for cooking as well as to use on my hair, lips, and skin. While there are many brands of coconut oil to choose from, I like that I know what I'm getting with this well-known brand.
