Can You Freeze Avocado?

The Right (and Wrong) Ways to Freeze Avocado

Avocado is the versatile fruit that we could eat around the clock. It works in everything from creamy pasta to vegan chocolate banana bread. But if you're concerned about your supply over-ripening, you may want to consider throwing that avo in the freezer.

Because yes, you can absolutely freeze avocado. Just be sure to halve or puree it beforehand.

One thing to consider when thawing out said avocado is the change in texture that this may bring. If you're looking for slices to put upon your sourdough, we recommend opting for a fresh avocado and using your frozen friend for smoothies, ice cream, and guacamole instead.
