This nighttime aromatherapy drink is a treat for the senses. Chamomile and lavender buds steep in warm almond milk to put you in a naturally relaxed state.

Chamomile has been used for centuries as a holistic medicine. Flavonoids within the herb help to heal a variety of conditions from nausea and inflammation to anxiety and insomnia (1). The easiest way to enjoy the health benefits of this herb are by steeping the loose buds in liquid and drinking as a tea. It is a great option for anyone with anxiety or trouble sleeping who wants to avoid pharmaceuticals.

Lavender is touted in the aromatherapy world as a highly effective herb for promoting sleep and relaxation. There's a reason spas often smell like lavender! Finally, raw honey is used as a natural sweetener for its rich mineral content.

To make this quick drink, heat almond milk, raw honey, chamomile, and lavender in a small saucepan. Heat until steaming hot, but not boiling. Remove from the heat and allow the tea to infuse for at least five minutes to intensify. Strain out the chamomile and lavender buds, then pour the drink into a mug to enjoy hot. Sip this sleepytime tea a few hours before bed to promote a restful sleep.
