If you always find yourself reaching for refined carbs, this is one nutritional challenge you need to try! For one entire day, make sure all of the grains you eat are whole grains, like whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and oats. Dietician Julie Upton, MS, RD, of Appetite for Health explains that compared to refined-grain choices, "whole-grain varieties provide more antioxidants and beneficial fiber while containing less added sugars, sodium, or trans fats" — all important things to back off of when you're looking to lose weight and stick with a healthy diet!
