Someone Spotted Kamala Harris Running the Lincoln Memorial Steps With Husband Doug Emhoff

When I first moved to the Washington DC area, I put "run the Lincoln Memorial steps" on my bucket list. The National Mall is a great area for outdoor exercise, and conquering those 58 stairs is like a rite of passage. It's no easy task to make the run up and down, which is why I'm incredibly impressed by Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Kamala and Doug were spotted by DC residents Bobby and Rebecca jogging at the popular tourist spot over the weekend — with the VP's Secret Service detail close behind. "It was amazing running into Madam @VP during our 5 miler this morning!" Bobby wrote on Instagram, along with a series of photos of the politician. Bobby and Rebecca took a moment to admire the "Glass Ceiling Breaker" display set up at the bottom of memorial. They also noticed Doug stood at the top of the steps to extend Kamala a "supportive" high five after the big climb. We love a couple that run together! Check out the cute photos and video below.
