Model Ashley Graham's Intense Workouts Are Not For the Weak
If you have any doubt that strong is sexy — and confidence is a trait you can strut at any size — then look no further than Ashley Graham. The plus-size model has been the star of major body-positive campaigns, including the SwimsuitsForAll ad that was touted as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's first appearance of a plus-size model as well Lane Bryant's #ImNoAngel and #PlusIsEqual campaigns, championing curves and helping others embrace their body shapes. She even staged her own fashion show for her plus-size lingerie line at this year's New York Fashion Week, telling POPSUGAR Fashion, "I think that I'm sexy, comfortable, and chic, always. That's how I like to look at myself."
While we can't get enough of her glamorous ads and fashion show appearances, we love how she lets us into her dedicated fitness routine (through inspiring gym selfies and videos of her badass workouts) even more. Take a look at our favorite ways Ashley exercises to stay strong, confident, and be a major dose of body-positive fitspiration for all.
Weekend Warrior
No casual bike ride here! "Bike ride from #Brooklyn to #Harlem & back.. 25+ miles!!" she wrote.
Inner-Thigh Burn
If you've ever used a sliding board at your gym, you know that this move is, as Ashley says, an "inner thigh killer!"
No Time to Rest
Wall sits, jumps, and crunches are just part of Ashley's intense workout. "Just because I'm a 'plus size' 'curvy' 'fiercely real' model doesn't mean I don't workout to keep it tight!! We ain't playin' around!!!!" she says of this video.
Looking Good, Feeling Good
Sometimes, the best motivation to hit the gym is a cute gym outfit, like Ashley's Zella pants and Enell sports bra.
No Excuses
Just because you're traveling doesn't mean you don't have time for a workout. Try Ashley's "improvised hotel workout:" a 30-minute run, jumping jacks, planks, lunges, chair dips, squats, side planks, and push-ups.
Intense Aerobics
Ashley captioned this workout video, "Me & my baby sister @abbz0fsteel getting that #curvyfitclub on!!! She kept up with me and then vomited." We maybe would've too.
Cardio Queen
Ashley knows you don't have to be a runner to reap the benefits of cardio. Here, her workout includes BOSU jumps, mountain climbers, lateral moves, and more. "I'm not working out to loose weight, I'm working out to feel good and to keep my curves tight!" she captioned the video.
Train Like an Athlete
"Keeping my curves tight & training like a professional athlete," Ashley said of this serious-looking move.
Get Serious
While in Miami, Ashley took her workout to DBC Fitness, where NBA stars Dwyane Wade and Lebron James also train.
Fighting Form
Talk about abs! Ashley kept up this killer boxer-inspired move for 10 reps — and is going for 20!
Rock On
A good workout playlist goes a long way.
Total Dedication
Even with a foot injury, Ashley was able to get a serious cardio workout in. "My sprained foot isn't keeping me from keeping my body on point! I focused on my arms and abs so much that they are like jelly!!" she said.
Rock Climber
"This is definitely going to hurt tomorrow!" she said of her rock-climbing experience.
