I was a prisoner in my body, starving it's very core to reflect the emptiness I embodied. There was nothing compelling about change, discovery,or leaving the comfort of anorexia's caress. There was no joy in living, for I didn't know how. All I knew was my understanding, and seeing this world through hindered lines of sight. Two years ago, my body weight reached a danger zone, imposing the risk of heart failure at 18 years of age. In the years of struggling with anorexia, I always wondered if there was more to life, but I knew that if I didn't fight back that day, I would never know From that day, I promised to defy the fear that numbed my wonder, and the pain that seized my growth. Because no matter what the future had in store, I trusted that I had all the I needed, exclusive of the disorder's damaging deceit. I found trust and companionship with myself. I fight for myself, and for the life I deserve; that has truly made all the difference in my life. I grew a garden nurtured by love, and 2 years later, flowers keep growing🌻. #FightForGrowth A photo posted by Sarah Ramadan (@fightforgrowth) on Oct 4, 2016 at 3:04pm PDT Share This Link Copy ← Use Arrow Keys → 9 Previous Next Start Slideshow Healthy LivingEating DisordersWeight GainBody Image
