"Fitness is extremely important to me, and I work out all the time," said Miss Oregon's Toneata Morgan, who actually created her own line of activewear. "In terms of preparation for the competition, besides just cardio, I really focused on weight training. I had a trainer who really helped me to focus on that."
She explained that about a month before the competition, she'd do about an hour of cardio and then a half hour of weight resistance exercises every day except for Sundays.
She also stressed the importance of nutrition, saying, "You can work out as much as you want, but you have to make sure that you're eating healthy and also making sure that you stay strong and have enough energy to keep you going throughout the day."
