How Do Kodiak Cakes Plant-Based Flapjacks Taste?

As you can see from the photo, the mix looks like regular ol' pancake mix. They recommend mixing one cup of mix with one cup of water, but I found that made for pretty thin pancakes, so I added a little extra mix.

These pancakes were soft and tender, with a lovely sweet flavor. They didn't even need maple syrup; I just enjoyed them with fresh sliced strawberries, bananas, and chopped pecans. I was worried that they'd taste like protein powder, but I couldn't taste the pea protein at all. When I don't have the time to mix my own whole wheat protein pancakes from scratch, these would be just as good!
