Starbucks Unicorn Lemonade

A New Starbucks Unicorn Drink For People Who Are So Over the Frappuccino

The Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino arrived on April 19 and quickly took over the internet — and it even caused some barista meltdowns. While the limited-edition drink is only available until April 23, there's already a spinoff beverage inspired by the pink and blue ingredients: Unicorn Lemonade. This time, it's an unofficial Starbucks beverage that's not actually on the menu, but baristas got creative and made it up, and loyal customers soon caught on. One barista on Reddit described the Unicorn Lemonade, saying, "It's actually really yummy if you like sour! It's just a layered raspberry lemonade. The first half is with the blue powder and the top with the pink."

The mango syrup in the Unicorn Frappuccino combined with the sour blue drizzle made it a little too sweet and sour for some people, and the dairy in the beverage makes it taste similar to sour yogurt. The lemonade is sure to be enjoyed by people who prefer a more refreshing beverage that's dairy-free. One Instagram user described its taste as "a liquid Sour Patch Kid," which kind of sounds amazing in our opinion. To order the beverage as pictured below, order a Venti lemonade with seven shakes of blue powder and six pumps of raspberry syrup. You can ask for pink powder on top so the color descends and creates an ombré effect. While this hacked menu item might only be available as long as Starbucks locations have unicorn ingredients available, it's another option for people who aren't crazy about the Frappuccino. And if you are in fact a big fan of it, you can make the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino at home long after it's gone!
