Mixing scotch and tequila may not sound like a great idea, but Herradura's new limited-edition 2014 Scotch Cask Finish Reposado ($90) is actually kind of genius. The Jalisco, Mexico-based brand further aged its reposado tequila in scotch barrels sourced from Scotland for three months — with surprisingly delicious results. We sipped it and were blown away by how well the depth and spice of the tequila paired with the vanilla and wood-smoke notes of the scotch barrels. Now this is the kind of international incident we can get behind.
