Use This Supereasy iPhone Hack to Send Texts While You're on an Airplane
While some airlines do offer free WiFi, many flyers can't help but wonder why it isn't an option during all flights, seeing as how free WiFi is available just about anywhere else. Until the day when in-flight WiFi is available — and even free — across the board, we have a way you can get around this inconvenience and send messages to your friends and family on the other side of the plane. If you've got an iPhone, you're in luck, because AirDrop is the key to making this happen. Keep in mind that this hack will only work for people in proximity — it is AirDrop, after all — so you can't send messages to someone back home, but it's at least a start! Keep reading for your instructions to bookmark before your next flight.
Open the Notes Application
First, select the Notes app from your iPhone home screen.
Type Your Message
Then type the message you wish to send to the other person on your flight.
Click the Options Button
Next, click the options button in the top right corner of your screen.
Select AirDrop from the menu that pops up.
Now simply select the recipient you wish to send the message to. This person must have their Bluetooth on and AirDrop settings active in order to appear. They will receive the note and can then send it back to you with their message by following the above steps once more.
