Zoom Breakout Groups let the owner of the meeting easily place those on the call into small subgroups. Breakout rooms can be split up into 50 different sessions, depending on big the meeting is. To access this feature, you must be the account owner or have administrative privileges, and you must enable the breakout room feature for all members of your organization beforehand.
To enable this feature, sign in to Zoom as an administrator with the privilege to edit account settings. Then, go to the navigation menu and click Account Management. Once you've done that, hit the Account Settings button and click find the Breakout Room option on the Meeting tab. Make sure setting is enabled by clicking on the toggle. Once you have enabled the breakout room feature, open the Zoom application on your computer. Select either New Meeting or Schedule to schedule an upcoming meeting. (Note: you must be the host to create breakout rooms.)
Once the meeting begins, you'll see a Breakout Rooms icon in the bottom toolbar that was not previously there. You can either allow Zoom to automatically sort your participants into the number of rooms you select or sort out each room manually, depending on your needs. Once you've decided on that, click the Create Breakout Rooms button.
