Penelope Prefers to Chat About Embraces Not Engagements
Penelope Cruz was busy in NYC yesterday, first making a stop by The Late Show to chat with David Letterman. She was out to discuss Broken Embraces before it opens in limited theaters this Friday, but Dave was a little more concerned with asking about her rumored engagement to Javier Bardem. She stood her ground and didn't reveal anything about her personal life — check out the video of her interview after the jump.

Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard were spotted heading out of their hotel solo, just a few days after posing together at the weekend premiere of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.

Blake Lively didn't address rumors she's going into business with Victoria Beckham as she smiled for the cameras, while her boyfriend Penn Badgley mingled with fellow Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford behind the scenes. Robin Wright Penn, meanwhile, showed off her new dark hairdo as she posed alongside Julianne Moore and Keanu Reeves.

Penelope Cruz joined Pedro Almodovar in Rome on Saturday for a Broken Embraces photo call at the city's famous Trevi Fountain. She's back on the promotional trail after a brief detour to Bali, where she met up with Javier Bardem at the beach during one of his breaks from filming Eat, Pray, Love. Penelope has been the subject of many rumors about her personal life recently, but she's going to be all business for the next few months with her travels on behalf of her film with Pedro and the upcoming Nine and she was already at LAX again yesterday.

The duo haven't had anything to say about the rumors that they are engaged, but no matter the relationship status they look happy as ever taking advantage of his exotic movie location.

Penelope Cruz headed out to her car yesterday afternoon in NYC. She was fresh off a whirlwind weekend of promoting Broken Embraces, including two parties and multiple press events. Even though Penelope rarely talks about Javier, her BFF Pedro Almodovar had his fair share to say — he opened up at their premiere on Sunday by saying that Penelope has "achieved a very handsome, good boyfriend, two Oscar nominations, one Oscar, and the respect and admiration of her profession."
Penelope Finds Embraces All Around NYC
Penelope Cruz had a whirlwind weekend of promoting Broken Embraces in NYC. The Vogue cover girl stepped out in a black leather jacket on Friday and a striped shirt the next afternoon for errand-running, but by Saturday evening Penlope was decked out in a sparkly white gown to be honored at a dinner hosted by Paper magazine. Her late night didn't slow her down yesterday, when she did press in a plaid dress before switching into a gray gown for a premiere with director Pedro Almodovar.

Penelope Cruz stayed on trend with her black over-the-knee boots as she walked out of her hotel in NYC yesterday. The actress is getting ready to promote her films Broken Embraces and the star-studded Nine, which both made it onto Buzz's Top Fall Movie Picks. The latter movie scored Penelope and her female costars the cover of Vogue for a gorgeous shoot.
Vogue Gets a Dose of Nine's Gorgeous Gals
Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard grace the cover of Vogue's November issue in various shades of red to promote their highly anticipated Nine movie. We saw them at the Annie Leibovitz shoot back in February, and the final product looks beautiful. Inside the magazine all of the film's actresses, including Sophia Loren, Judi Dench, and Fergie, posed together.
Maybe Engaged Penelope Steps Out with a Ring and a Smile
Penelope Cruz looked beautiful in her black lace dress walking into Michael's restaurant in NYC last night. She was sporting a sparkly ring on her left hand, which we've seen before but could have more significance now that most of us are starting to believe rumors she's engaged to Javier Bardem. We wouldn't expect an official announcement from the private couple, nor did she do more than evasively deny the stories that she was expecting.
