No headline stresses a mom out like one that includes the phrase "recall alert." In 2014, we saw a slew of children's products get pulled from the shelves. Whether it was a favorite toy or a trusted stroller, several mommy must haves were deemed too hazardous to keep in the home. Before you ring in the New Year, clear these recalled items from your nursery, freezer, or playroom.

Playtex Pacifier Clips

Playtex recalled more than 1.25 million pacifier clips due to a potential choking hazard.

Ikea Junior Beds

After a 2013 recall, Ikea pulled an additional 3,500 Kritter and Sniglar Junior Beds due to a laceration hazard.

Britax Strollers

Britax pulled more than 200,000 strollers after the company received eight reports of the hinge breaking, cutting, and amputating users' fingers.

Hot Pockets

Nestlé pulled Hot Pockets from stores after the USDA recalled 8.7 million pounds of Rancho Feeding Corporation beef, Nestlé's main meat provider.

Tyson Chicken Nuggets

Tyson Foods voluntarily recalled 75,000 pounds of chicken nuggets after discovering little pieces of plastic in the kiddie-menu staple.

Baby Trend Car Seats

Baby Trend Inc. voluntarily recalled almost 17,000 car seats due to customer difficulty in unlatching the harness buckle.

Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners

Kraft Food Group Inc. pulled 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners after reports that the items may contain milk, a known allergen that is not declared on the product label.

Summer Infant Baby Monitor Batteries

Summer Infant recalled 800,000 rechargeable baby monitor batteries after reports of overheated and ruptured batteries resulting in smoke and minor property damage.

Ikea Night Lights

Throughout April, Ikea pulled four million night lights after a 16-month-old died due to strangulation from the lamp's cord.

Kraft Cottage Cheese

Kraft recalled 1.2 million cases of cottage cheese after learning that ingredients used to make the cheese were not stored at the proper temperature.

Brooklyn, NY-based Oeuf recalled four models of its Sparrow crib after receiving reports of the slats/spindles and top rail detaching from the crib.

Fresh Fruit

Trader Joe's, Walmart, Kroger, Costco, Wegman's, Ralphs, and Food 4 Less recalled a variety of fruit after their supplier announced that the produce may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

nSpired Nut Butters

nSpired Natural Foods recalled more than 40 types of nut butters after learning the jars could be contaminated with salmonella.

Dole Spinach

Dole Fresh Vegetables announced a voluntarily recall of several varieties of bagged spinach due to possible contamination by walnuts.

Plum Organics Little Crèmes

Plum Organics pulled Little Crèmes organic rice milk snacks after learning the product could be a choking hazard.

Baby wipes manufactured under the brand names Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch, and Well Beginnings were recalled after complaints about odor and discoloration.

McDonald's Happy Meal Toy

McDonald's issued a mass recall of more than two million toys throughout the United States and Canada following incidents of choking in small children.

Graco Stroller

Graco pulled five million strollers after receiving 11 reports of injuries, including full and partial fingertip amputations.
