Ariana Grande's Manicure Is Giving Glinda the Witch

Ariana Grande is taking her good witch status very seriously. Months after dyeing her hair platinum "Glinda" blond earlier this year, on Oct. 25, the actor and her friend, Elizabeth Gillies, opted for coordinating Halloween looks. With a single close-up shot of their manicures, Grande proved that she was perfectly cast for her role in the upcoming "Wicked" movie.

"There's always someone younger and hungrier coming down the stairs after you," Gillies captioned an Instagram post, which showed her and Grande in bedazzled outfits for the holiday festivities. Their costumes were a nod to the movie "Showgirls," which follows a young woman as she chases her dreams of being a dancer in Las Vegas.

Grande's nails, which were press-ons, were painted in a classic pink-and-white gradient, the perfect nod to the original Glinda costume from the 1939 movie adaptation of the book. They were filed into an oval shape and jazzed up with the addition of crystal gems, contrasting Gillies' short, square look.

The singer's Halloween nails point to the fact that french manicures are still trending big. The nail art is incredibly versatile and has been the catalyst for numerous other looks, like the glazed doughnut, the baby french, and even chrome-french designs.

There are still a few months to go before we are privy to all the beauty moments in the new "Wicked" movie but until then, allow Grande's latest manicure to get you excited for what's to come.
