Sabrina Carpenter's "Pamela Anderson Updo" Is Super Retro

Sabrina Carpenter is the latest to wear the hairstyle of the moment: a Pamela Anderson updo. On Jan. 25, the actor attended the Elie Saab haute couture spring/summer '23 show during Paris Fashion Week looking chic as can be.
The hairstyle added a touch of '90s flair to her outfit. Created by Dayaruci Perianez, it was a quintessential messy bun with curled, face-framing pieces, which added a relaxed feel to the look. Carpenter put her own touch on it by incorporating her "Birkin bangs" instead of Anderson's retro curtain bangs.
Since the premiere of Hulu's "Pam & Tommy" in 2022, we've once again been reminded why Anderson was crowned a beauty icon of the early aughts. Everything from her signature hairstyle to her washed-denim eyeshadow has begun to trend once more. Celebrities like Millie Bobby Brown, Ciara, and Becky G have all been spotted in the look.
