Taylor Swift was spotted looking smiley as she geared up for a workout in NYC on Friday. The singer smirked for cameras on her way down the street, sporting a sleek black tank, cutout leggings, and bright orange Nikes. While Taylor may have been heading to the gym, one place she won't be going this weekend is the MTV VMAs; according to multiple sources, Taylor is skipping the big event on Sunday and was "never planning" to attend. It may not be in her best interest, anyway — she didn't nab any nominations this year, and she likely wants to avoid any potential drama with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who is up for best collaboration thanks to the hit "This Is What You Came For" (which we now know that Taylor helped write). Luckily for Taylor, she can watch the show from a safe distance in the incredible West Village, NYC, carriage house she's currently renting for $40,000 a month.
