One of the biggest announcements during the Comic-Con panel was the names of the new characters: Evan Peters is James March, Kathy Bates is Iris, Matt Bomer is Donovan, and Sarah Paulson is Hypodermic Sally. Since then, we've gotten detailed character descriptions!

Ryan Murphy said at the Comic-Con panel that "more and more" characters from previous seasons will check into the hotel. There are four characters who we know have crossed over, but we have ideas for who else should join the list!

Though the series is supposedly set in the present day, Evan Peters is playing the twisted architect who builds the Hotel Cortez in the '30s. Lily Rabe is playing Aileen Wuornos, a real-life serial killer who was executed in 2002.

FX has released pictures of the cast from the first three episodes of the new season, "Checking In," "Chutes and Ladders," and "Mommy."
