If You Don't Tune Into Frequency This Week, You're Missing Out

While there are a couple new shows centered around time travel this Fall, Frequency is worth a look. Not only does the CW series include some very interesting sci-fi elements, but it also has a hearty dose of mystery and drama. If that doesn't sell you, it's also created by Supernatural writer/producer Jeremy Carver. Ahead of Wednesday's premiere, here's what you need to know!

Who's Starring?

Peyton List (remember Jane from Mad Men?), Riley Smith, Mekhi Phifer, Anthony Ruivivar, Lenny Jacobson, Devin Kelley, and Daniel Bonjour

What It's About

The reboot of the 2000 film of the same name is about a woman (List) who accidentally alters the present when an old ham radio helps her get in contact with her deceased father who is 20 years in the past.

First Impression

After watching the first episode, I'm hooked; the pilot has plenty of twists and turns that left me wanting the next episode. As someone who was really bummed about the end of Castle, List's character reminds me of that show's beloved lead, Kate Beckett. Not only are the two both detectives living in New York City, but they are both bent on solving their parents' mysterious murders.

When Is It On?

The show will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
