From Miley Cyrus to Lady Gaga, Here Are the Artists Performing at the 2020 MTV VMAs
As we get closer to this year's MTV VMAs, we've been getting more details about the star-studded musical lineup! On Aug. 17, MTV announced that Miley Cyrus will be taking the stage at this year's ceremony along with Lady Gaga, who will be performing with Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Maluma, and more. To make matters even more exciting, Keke Palmer will be hosting and the show will be mixing things up by featuring performances from various locations throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island to honor the spirit and resilience of New York.
Nominations have also already been announced, and Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are leading the pack with nine nods each thanks in large part to their "Rain on Me" collaboration. In addition to leading the pack of nominees with a total of nine nods, Lady Gaga will be hitting the MTV VMAs stage for a special performance.
Grande will join Lady Gaga for her performance of their top-nominated hit, "Rain on Me."
The Colombian singer, who is nominated for best Latin for his song with J Balvin, is set to perform.
The rapper, who is up for three awards including best new artist, will hit the VMAs stage for the very first time.
The Latin boy band, who are up for two awards, will perform during the VMAs.
The Weeknd is set to make a grand return to the VMAs stage. The last time he performed on the show was in 2015.
Doja Cat — who scored nods for best direction, best new artist, and song of the year — is expected to take the stage for a performance that is sure to leave us all amazed.
The ceremony will be extra special for BTS, as it will mark their first-ever VMAs performance and the TV debut of their upcoming single, "Dynamite." BTS are also up for three awards for best pop, best K-pop, and best choreography.
In addition to gracing the stage, the Latin superstar is nominated for four awards, including best collaboration and three nods for best Latin.
Not only is DaBaby up for four awards — including artist of the year — but he's also set to take the VMAs stage for the first time ever.
Black Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas, who scored two nods at this year's ceremony, will be performing as well.
