Season 1: Poor Jana. No matter what time she's introduced — 1986 Jana (Anne Lebinsky) or 2019 Jana (Tatja Seibt) — she's never all there, so to speak. Ulrich's mother just could not bounce back after the tragic kidnapping of her youngest son, Mads.
Season 2: Jana's character doesn't get much (if any) screen time in season two.
Season 3:
- Adam's World: We learn more of young Jana's story in this season, and how she develops a crush on young Tronte even though he's dating Claudia at the time. Following Mads's disappearance in the '80s, Jana is shown accusing Tronte of having an affair with Claudia, who has gone missing.
- Eva's World: Jana's story appears to be basically the same in this reality — up until Mads's disappearance, at least — though she's not shown.
- Origin World: It's assumed that Jana and Claudia probably stayed friends in the '50s without Tronte coming between them and creating a love triangle, but we'll never know!
