"Obi-Wan Kenobi" hits Disney+ May 27, and the cast were at Star Wars Celebration ready to show the new series to the world. The panel began with a theatrical performance from a choir of the song "Duel of the Fates," the iconic music theme from the prequel trilogy that became a major hit. Then Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen took the stage, joined by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, "Obi-Wan Kenobi" director Deborah Chow, and their costars Moses Ingram and Rupert Friend.
"It was a pretty incredible honor to tell a new story with these characters at this point in their lives," Chow said of the series. Ingram joked, "I don't know how I finessed this." They also made the major announcement that the first two episodes of the show would premiere at Star Wars Celebration before hitting Disney+ on Friday.
McGregor previously said that he would love to do a second season of "Obi-Wan Kenobi," but there was no announcement about more episodes at the event.
