John Mulaney and Olivia Munn have only been parents for a year, but they've already given fans sweet peeks into life with their baby boy, Malcolm Hiep Mulaney. The most recent? On Nov. 27, Munn shared photos and videos from Malcolm's first birthday. Alongside a snap of Malcolm eating cake, the proud mom wrote, "Just got back from celebrating ONE YEAR of the most joyful baby being in this world and in our lives. My son, my joy. Happiest Birthday Malcolm Hiệp! I love you so so so much."
In a separate video, Malcolm is shown possibly saying "I love you" while enjoying his birthday dessert. Munn captioned it, "I posted this in a carousel and then someone commented that they heard him say 'I love you' and that is the first time I heard it too! Could it be??? 🤟🏼."

Malcolm Hiep Mulaney
Mulaney and Munn welcomed Malcolm, their first child, on Nov. 24, 2021. The baby's name likely honors the parents' respective family backgrounds: Malcolm is a Gaelic name indicating a devotee of Saint Columba, while Hiep is a Sino-Vietnamese word meaning "to unite" or "to come together."
In an Instagram post announcing his birth, Munn referred to her son as "my Golden Ox baby," a fitting tribute considering 2021 was the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac. Mulaney shared a similar photo of Malcolm snuggled up in a blanket. "Meet Malcolm Hiep Mulaney," he wrote. "He has his whole life ahead of him. He hasn't even tried seltzer yet. I'm very in love with him and his whole deal. Happy Holidays."
Mulaney and Munn began dating mid 2021 following the comedian's separation from his wife of nearly seven years, Anna Marie Tendler, preceded by his rehab stay for substance-abuse recovery. Then, after a whirlwind romance, Mulaney announced that he and Munn were expecting during an intimate "Late Night With Seth Meyers" appearance in September. "She got to date me right out of recovery," he said at the time, "which is what they call a reverse catch. . . . She's kind of held my hand through that hell, and we are having a baby together."
