As a parent, even Kim Kardashian struggles to keep up. In a May 20 episode of the "On Purpose With Jay Shetty" podcast, Kardashian got real about the struggles she faces while raising her four children. "There's madness going on. It's full madness. It's the best chaos though," she said. "It's like I always have to do one of my daughters' hair, and it has to be perfect, and it has to be a certain way, and then this one needs me to put his shoes on, and they all need you."

"There are nights I cry myself to sleep."

The constant whirlwind can sometimes be overwhelming, Kardashian admitted, but it's also taught her a lot about herself. "It has been the most challenging thing," she said. "There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy sh*t, this f*cking tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?" Currently, Kardashian said she's working on "being a little bit firmer" with her kids and learning how to navigate all of their different personalities.

While the challenges are real and parenting can be "really f*cking hard," Kardashian assured listeners it's still incredibly fulfilling. "It is the most rewarding job in the entire world," she said. Just don't expect to have it all under control beforehand: "There is nothing that can prepare you. I don't care how long you wait. I don't care what you're waiting for. You are never prepared."

Kardashian shares her four children — North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4 — with her ex-husband Kanye West. And while she's still learning a lot about parenthood, including coparenting with West, she trusts herself to make the right decisions. "You will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out."
