4 Weed Products I Like to Wind Down With After a Long, Stressful Day

Instead of coming home to a glass of wine, I personally prefer to relax with a nicely rolled joint. There's just something about burning one that gives the illusion that all my stress is going up in flames with every puff. But recently, I've begun to add other cannabis-infused products to my bedtime routine — and I can't get enough. Having a comprehensive wind-down has been amazing for recovering from particularly stressful days, which is crucial for preventing burnout. See four of my favorites below in the order that I use them!

1. Kush Queen Sleep CBD Bath Bomb

Soaking in a hot tub alone will help you unwind, but adding a CBD-infused bath bomb takes relaxation to the next level. Among the many varieties, including Awake and Love, my two go-tos are Sleep ($10) and Relax ($10). My body instantly loosens, and the second I get out of the water, I'm ready to hit the sheets.

2. Sagely Naturals Relief & Recovery Cream

My dry skin is already moisturized at this point from the nourishing CBD bath, but I like to lather up with lotion to really seal in moisture. This all-natural CBD cream ($20) contains essential oils and soothing menthol. Applying it directly on problem areas, like my tense shoulders, results in a cooling sensation — or rub it everywhere for a full-body effect. Not only does the cream aid in pain relief, but it also leaves your skin feeling and smelling great.

3. Mary Janes Medicinals Lip Bong

Though its name is what really caught my attention at first, this cannabis-infused balm by Mary Janes Medicinals is anything but ordinary. Swiping your lips with some of this THC-containing product won't get you high, but it will treat your cracked lips. And according to the product reviews, it effectively treats cold sores, too. The ingredients (cannabis, grape seed oil, beeswax, almond oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and peppermint essential oil) do wonders for my dry lips.

4. Canndescent Calm (Indica)

Since reviewing each of the luxury cannabis company's five strains, Calm has become one of my favorite pre-bed strains. Its claim to be best "for a restful sleep or relief from aches and pains" is spot on. After taking a couple hits of Calm, I experience immediate sleepiness and full-body relaxation. I don't feel immobile, but I'm definitely comfortable hanging out on the couch for the rest of the evening.

These four products are fantastic on their own, but they're even better when used in combination. Since you'll be well-relaxed by the end of this routine, I recommend taking this opportunity to fully unplug. Declutter your chill zone (whether it's your living room or bed space), put your phone on Do Not Disturb, and light up some candles for a calming atmosphere. I personally like to wrap up the night listening to my favorite artists or by cozying up with a movie, but however you choose to ease into bed is up to you!
